Elaine Backmeier has been the
director of St. Luke Preschool for 33 years. She has served God and
our church tirelessly and faithfully. She has made the preschool a wonderful
place to work and a delightful, welcoming place for all the many parents and
children who have been a part of her ministry. She will retire in
August 2004, leaving a legacy of love and dedication, and having touched
everyone who has come in contact with her. We wish her God's blessings, and
our best wishes, for a happy, healthy, wonderful retirement. We'll
